A Girl’s Guide: Rock n’ Roll New Year’s Eve Outfits.

So, this New Years Eve I have a gig and so then I’ve found myself asking 'What am I wearing’. An outfit that demonstrates Rock n Roll but with the glitz and glam of New Year’s Eve fashion whilst also giving Lead Singer energy. A predicament is happening and my mind can’t seem to piece together an outfit for this gig, which got me thinking. Maybe others are in the same situation as me and maybe by writing and researching some ideas inspired by musical legends, the solution could be found all together.

Whether you’re performing on stage or rocking out in the crowd this New Year’s, these outfits—rooted in the essence of Rock ‘n’ Roll—are sure to inspire your look.

Fur trimmed Coats

These coats are the epitome of 70’s Rock n’ Roll. Whether it’s denim or suede these coats with the fur detailing effortless exude the style we’re looking for. Perfect for on-stage to start with or if you’re performing/watching outside. A coat that seems to compliment a cigarette all too well.

Mini Sequin Shorts

Now I love mini shorts for stage the best of times. They’re breathable when the lights are hot, they make your legs look longer for us 5’3 girls and they’re extremely fashionable. With the addition of sequins these are perfect for New Years!

Jumpsuits

Jumpsuits are a one piece that does all the work. Whether you go for more of a 70s vibe with stripes or whether you go for sparkles to celebrate the new years somewhat traditionally you can never go wrong with this statement look and as can extra plus, they’re super comfortable.

Printed Tights

A simple outfit from your wardrobe can easily be upgraded for new year with some funky tights. Cheetah print and Stars tights have been all the rage this year and are definitely a great idea for New Years. An affordable way to do New Years if you’re on a budget or overspent at Christmas.

Golden Girl

Gold makes my heart happy and what a better time to wear it than on New Year’s Eve. A statement dress that catches the light perfectly is a great idea for when on stage. Sophisticated, fun and radiant. All sparkles and gold come in many forms and a dress, a mini top or even a shimmering skirt will be a jaw dropping moment all night long.

All Black

Being in a rock band I personally can never go wrong with black and I think the same goes for everyone. All black does wonders for the figure but it also can look elegant, sexy and cool. Plus black is a colour most people have already in their wardrobe and if you’re wanting to buy something for New Year that you can wear all throughout 2025 then this may be the pick for you.

Dresses with Sleeves

I’m loving fluffy sleeves lately especially for coats and dresses. This idea works great for one, cold weather but two, they’re perfect for lead singers as it adds another element when holding a mic. A fun was to incorporate movement into your performance or even your dancing in the crowd.

Layering Lace

Lace radiates class and refinement but layering lace gives a contrasting take on that. Layering lace allows for texture and opposing styles to intertwine. I love this look for New year, it’s definitely a style that will make you stand out on stage.

Band Tees and Skirts

Band tees and cool skirts never seem to miss. An easy way to take elements of your wardrobe and jazz them up for new year. Whether you’re wearing your own band merch or a band that you know and love, a band tee is perfect for any on stage performance, even for New Years.

I hope you got some inspiration or some ideas of how you can incorporate some of the Rock n’ Roll pieces into your New Year’s Eve outfit. If you enjoyed reading this short blog then please subscribe to our newsletter for more.
