Vinyls have become increasingly popular over the past few years, skyrocketing sales for all Artists and Labels. Now more than ever merchandise and vinyls are being bought to support worldwide and locals bands and artists, with knowledge being more prevalent about the struggles of being and working within the music industry. An amazing way to support a band you love whether local or worldwide is to buy their vinyl. Supporting artists while giving the gift of vinyl embodies the true spirit of Christmas gifting.

Vinyls now come in many forms. With exclusive releases and limited edition copies and vinyl box sets, giving the gift of vinyl this year has never been easier. Buying a limited edition vinyl of an album someone already loves is a thoughtful and guaranteed hit this Christmas. Likewise, gifting a box set from a favorite artist is sure to be a cherished and appreciated present.

Below are some limited edition vinyls by some well loved artists within rock music.

Vinyl Sets

It’s Brilliant when you know someone who has a record player or even just collects records as a hobby. It is one of the easiest Christmas presents to buy. Whether they’re a huge lover of rock or they love many differing genres, vinyls are beautiful gifts. A step further is getting a limited edition version of a favourite Album or an Album to add to the collection. Getting a limited colour or edition of a vinyl can be an extremely special gift. Here are some ideas for some limited edition rock vinyls.

4. Guitar Accessories

  • Custom or Tester pack Guitar Pics

  • If you’re giving the gift of a Guitar or a Bass this Christmas then why not buy a plectrum tester pack. This way different pics can be tested out and used throughly to help the player get to know their likes and dislikes.

  • Another great idea for any guitar lover is a custom pic. This may not be the best idea for bass players, giving the likelihood of them snapping but for your average guitar player this is a fun stocking filler that will guarantee a smile.

  • You can get all of these made through Amazon/online

  • New or Engraved Guitar Strap

  • If you are giving a gift to a guitar player that likes to either switch up their look or is just in need of giving their guitar some more TLC with a beautiful new guitar strap, then maybe slip this idea under the tree. There are lots of options for Guitar straps. Bear in mind how the strap will look once paired with their guitar but also regard quality when purchasing something like this. The best option is ideally a leather strap giving that it’ll definitely be of a high quality and a colour that is likely to match, however, leather straps can also be engraved and personalised with initials and names placing a special extra touch to this gift.

5. Marr’s Guitars Book

This book is wonderful. I have seen it a handful of times walking through my local bookshop and am continuously memorised by how much it captures me. Whether you’re buying for a guitar lover that has recently moved into a new home and is in need of a good coffee table book or whether your buying for someone who just loves Johnny Marr then look no further. Insightful, beautifully laid out and a stunning book that captures the beauty of guitars and their impact. A book I hope to have on my coffee table in January too.

Sometimes it’s hard to find the right present for a music lover. Some of these gifts are great stocking fillers and some are cute ideas that can be great for any music lover or partner.
