What we’re wearing in 2024 this Fall and Winter.
This 2024 we are seeing some new trends emerge in fashion. Whilst many aesthetics will never fade for the fall and winter time, some more exciting and innovative ideas are coming to play this year too.
Here are some ideas to get you excited for the cooler months but also some ideas of how to incorporate your summer wardrobe within these looks too. The main objective with fall and winter clothing is layering! Being able to layer our outfits brings a whole new element and allows us to really play with our wardrobe and step up our fashion game a little.
Baggy Jumpers over long skirts
A thrifted Baggy Jumper paired with one of your long summer skirts is the way forward this year. an effortless look that gives fall energy but also is comfortable and casual at the same time.

2. Pops of Red
Red is one of the best colours ever in general, but in fall and winter time this colour brings me even more happiness. Little pops of red can go a long way within an outfit this time of year. Buying a couple of items of clothing in the colour red will never be mistake.

4. Boots and lace socks
Leather Boots / Cowboy Boots have been popular this year, a trend I’m more than happy to partake in. One they’re super comfortable whilst evaluating your outfit and two they’re great on a night out so that you can keep dancing the night away without blisters and aching soles.

5. Leather Jackets
To be completely honest here, the only jacket I usually wear is a black leather jacket. It’s one of my most prize possessions and people probably get sick of seeing me in it. However, it’s a statement piece, a classic and it will never go out of style. I’ve seen some beautiful leather jackets over the past few years, incorporating more colour and different designs. Pops of red and brown leather jackets may be having more of a moment this year.

6. “Fur’ Jackets
As animal lovers we will never support real fur jackets personally, however faux fur jackets / jackets with fur detailing can be a beautiful look for fall and winter. Incorporating a little bit of “fur” into your outfit can elevate an outfit to look a lot more luxurious and sophisticated.

7. Waistcoats
Waistcoats have been extremely popular this year. Adding a waistcoat is another way to layer in the colder months whilst adding an extra touch to your outfit. If you live in a climate that is still a little warm during the 4th quarter of the year then waistcoats are great on their own too.

8. Co-ords
Co-ords were all the rage a few years back and I think this could be the year they come back to life. Cozy and comfy co-ords are the best to lounge in at home but there are also some great co-ords you can buy that are very stylish for going out in. You can dress them up and add layers to them whilst keeping you feeling cozy and at home.

9. Grey
Grey clothing will be all the hype this year. Grey is a very underrated colour when it comes to fall and winter fashion. All grey outfits are perfect for our story and gloomy days ahead. Dress for the occasion and wear grey jumpers and skirts this winter season.

10. Mini Cardigans
In recent years we have seen the ‘school girl’ aesthetic become more popular around the fall time. A mini cardigan used as a top or layering piece and a mini skirt with tights and ballet flats. A look I personally love and believe is perfect for fall when we’re starting to get a little chill in the air.

11. Neutral Plaid
Checked or Plaid pieces are great for this time of year. Browns and reds always look great weaved through textured skirts and jumpers, checked in colour. This is the perfect time to whip out your checked items and even pair them artistically together.

13. Statement Scarfs
Scarfs are a must have this year. They add such a great element to any look and oversized ones are great for keeping you nice and cozy out and about. From skinny scarfs to large scarfs to textured and printed scarfs, accessorising without them would be letting yourself down this winter.
